It's simple - You Design and We Slice. CSS Slicers team can convert any desing of PSD, AI, PNG or JPG format into a fully standartized and validated xHTML page ready for your website... What we need is just a short description of how the template should behave - any mouse hovers, dropdowns; anything that should happen on resize or if more text ( ot certain text/images added ) and anything else you can think of that is not obviously stated in the design. We have sliced a pretty large number of templates so most of the things of how the design should work we can guess by ourselves, but still things like rollover effects, heading tags, bolds, blockquotes and such sometimes can't be guess of what the client wants.
Here's a list of the most common things that would be nice mantioning:
- Is the template centered, left floated or resizes to full brouser width/height
- Be sure to include all of the necessary images
- Be sure to describe (if no grafical design exists) of the second and forth level of the menu navigation
- Any link hovers, visited link colors and such
- Any form label and input fields effects and requirements
- Any dynamic effecs that require javascripting or flash
- Any wishes for the structure of the elements as the developers may require something for them to be easier to implement in the CMS systems
- Which text parts are text and wich images (when non-standart fonts are used we usually ask if to keep it this way or to make it text in font as close as possible)
- Wheather to use teble for the tabular data or divs again...
